The Sacrament of Matrimony
Preparing for the wedding
Engaged couples should contact the parish office no later than three months before their planned wedding date. For practical reasons, it is advisable to arrange the date much earlier.
Required documents
- Baptismal certificate issued within the last three months, if the baptism took place outside our parish.
- Permission to marry from the parish of residence, if neither of the engaged couple belongs to our parish.
- A certificate from the Civil Registry Office required for a church marriage with civil legal effects, or a civil marriage certificate.
- Religious education record or a school report from the final year of secondary school.
- Identity cards.
- Certificates of completion of a pre-marriage course and consultations at a pre-marriage counselling centre.
Pre-marriage catechesis
Catechesis at the Roman Catholic Parish of St Mary Magdalene in Rabka-Zdrój takes place over two consecutive Saturdays.
Session times
- April, May, June, July, August and September: 14:30–18:30.
- January, February, March, October, November and December: 13:30–17:30.

Places are limited.
Location and programme
Catechesis takes place in the catechetical room at 8A Orkana Street (the curates' house). The sessions are followed by Holy Mass, with an opportunity for confession, and the Rosary on the first Saturday.
