Holy Baptism

Scheduling and Registration

Holy Baptism is normally administered during Sunday Mass at 12:30 p.m.

The child must be registered at least one week before the planned date.

If, for important reasons, the baptism is to take place outside the designated times, we ask parents to arrange this with the parish priest at least three weeks in advance.

Required Documents

• The child's birth certificate.
• A church marriage certificate if the wedding took place outside our parish.
• Certificates of eligibility for the godparents if they are not members of our parish.
• Permission for Holy Baptism from the parish where the parents reside, if they live outside our parish. This refers to their actual place of residence, not their registered address.
• A full copy of the birth certificates of the child's parents if they are not married in the Church.

Godparents

Only believing and practicing Catholics whose marital situation complies with Church requirements may serve as godparents.
